I completed my B.S. in Electrical Engineering in Spring 2003, from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá, Colombia, which is where I originally come from. I then received both my M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and my M.Sc. degree in Mathematics, in Spring 2007 from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). In 2009, I finished my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UIC, under the advise of Dr. Miloš Žefran.
